Mister Twister mail-in offer thing

i did this mail in offer for Mister twister, and they sent me one of their new products, it is called the G-Grub
has anyone ever used or even heard of them or how to fish them? i got some in the color above, and also in black got about 8 for a dollar plus a catalog..and a patch.

Looks like a very active grub. How big are they ? I would throw them on a 1/4 oz Strike King Shakey Head, and reel them in very slowley. That tail will give out tons of vibration, and help the fish locate the bait. Another tactic is to "Drag" the grub. Use the Black model for this to simulate a Leech. Cast out and let the bait fall straight to the bottom. Let out line so the lure falls straight down. Pay attention to the line because they will hit it sometimes on the fall. When it gets to the bottom, let the boats drift, or the trolling motor, give the bait movement. Do not lift the bait off the bottom. Let it drag. I've seen Smallmouth follow a bait 100yds underwater, before it hits. This can be a killer in the spring when the Smallmouth start ganging up to come shallow for the first spring feed. Good Luck !

If possible, what about retrieving it on or near the surface like a snake? It might be too heavy to do that without having to burn it in, though.

Mr. Twister came out with this Grub last year. I tried several times to purchase them locally but no one had them. I spoke with some of the guys at Mr. Twister and they kept on telling me that Dicks had them. I kept on telling them that neither of the Dick's I checked out had them. So I never did get any.

I know I could have mailed order them, but I really didn't need anything else at the time, so the bait monkey left me alone.
