Default Why is this a news story?

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,...ml??test=faces

You'd think people have never seen a boat and its wake before.

people just want to grasp at anything they can man , and are always looking to prove a wacky theory or make that life changing discovery

I believe there are creature on the Earth that we think are extinct but actually still survive, especially marine life. I also believe there may be some such creature in lock ness, and I believe there's been such sightings in the US. I buy into all that. I also believe that is a boat in that thar picture, maybe if the back of it won't so stright edged and flat.

While I don't think that pic is Nessy, I'll never call it impossible that Nessy exists.
Extinct 65 million years ago? That's what they said about the Coelecanth too, and they were wrong

If that's a picture of Nessie, then I've seen his/her cousin in the reservoir by my house...

Oh, and Kevin....put down the firewater and back away slowly...

I fished loch ness once. I believe it is very possible that Nessy exists, large portions of that lake are kinda secluded, it is very deep and the water is very dark. There are also historical examples where once thought-to be extinct animals we later discovered as being alive, and that could be the case with something deep in loch ness.

But that picture is a boat. Simple, and I can't believe it even needs research.

Man...I'm disappointed. I was holding out hope that WTL had once caught a young Nessie...on a drop shot.

wouldnt the wakes be longer if the boat was moving....maybe its early and the coffee aint brewed yet...but behind the ''white lines'' there appears to be no ripples in the water...they seem to stop suddenly......i believe this to be a ghost squid....or some sort of tampon shaped creature.lol

I dont think this qualifies as a ''nessie'' sighting though,..the appendages coming off dont really make sense..

when inverting the image colors....there are no visible long wakes/waves behind the object....i find that interesting.....probably a boat......but maybe not,it got some people talking, just like us..... i think we need a lake....a boat....a satellite....18 pack of budlight, and we need to re-create this image.

Waffle, just drive your boat around your local lake every day for several months, and you're bound to be on Google Earth or some other satellite imagery site. Just remember to WEAR CLOTHES while you're doing this...

well just take away all my inspiration and dreams mississippi...lol..whats the point of owning a water vessel of any sorts, if i can't operate it naked? of course, the new's headline would read differently if they caught me on satellite naked, driving a boat. ''satellites detect image of a giant piece of wet, pasty ham floating on the back of rosie o'donnell''........sources say ''this is digusting''

I believe if we could travel at the speed of light and go 65 million light years out into space and take a high powered photo of the earth we would still see dinosaurs...and possibly nessy as well.
