Ask 20 guys, you'll get 7 saying senko, 7 saying tiki, and 6 talking about another brand altogether. I've used both and have had equal success. When I prefer a larger heavier style, I like the Tiki Laminated series. They cast a good distance and sink well without added weight. But I wouldn't say one is better than the other. Thats my take anyways.

some days the bass like the fall rates of senkos, sometimes they like the colors of tiki's laminate series. both will catch a crap ton of fish.

I'm going to do an official study here shortly, dedicating half a day to senko, and the other to Tiki, fishing the same areas and using the same set-up. I will document colors and response rates, and hopefully have pictures. When all is said and done I will be able to answer your question.

Raul is right. You might have better success in the afternoon simply because the bass weren't in the spots you are fishing in the morning or vice versa. If I were going to do a study, I would invite someone to go along and each one of you pick a brand. One with Senkos and one with Tiki Sticks. Cast to the same spot right one right after the other and see who comes up with the best result. Only problem with that is if the bass is where you first cast and he takes what you presented first, you will never know if the second bait would have produced at all. Boy, this can get a little confusing

Y'all have stated a lot in this thread. Being scientifically accurate concerning fishing in the open field is a bear. Good points made by all.
Personally I'd like to know how the zoom speedworm body in watermelon/red stacks up against any of them if there was a way to do it. I've been clipping tails ever since the Senko arrived on the scene and have done very, very well using them in a slow fall and deadsticking presentation. Even weightless, they cast well. just too many variables to come up with a truly accurate answer. i guess what I'm trying to say, bass are like women, they don't ever know what they want lol.

Although Senkos and Tikis are both good stickbaits, I believe they have a different rate of fall. Senkos are heavier evidently because they contain more salt than other lures. Tikis are a little lighter. In my experience, the Senko will fall faster than the Tikis.
If you really wanted to do a test . . . drop the senko and tiki into a tank at the same time. The senko will hit bottom faster than other stickbaits. Some of the other brands will not even hit bottom. |

Hmm, I would ahve always thought that the salt would make the Senko more bouyant, resulting in a slower fall, but hey I havent done any tests so what do I know?

No ones goin technical, Mr Technicality, but everyone is trying to find out which performes better. Which will be an impossible feat, yet I will still try, because one way or another I'm gunna catch fish doing so

That's usually my preference Rob!
:On my budget the senko is a little pricey and not so durable, think 9 year old who is convinced one worm is jinxed and must switch to another.... I'm a Yum dinger man myself...

i think because of the price the tiki six would be the way to go
everyone says they work just as well if not better and there cheaper so i would go with the tikis

Why see this so black and white? Senkos only or Tikis exclusively? The wise angler will realize that both are tools and therefore it would behoove one to carry both. Besides, it would be an apples to oranges comparison. Not only do they not look the same, they don't weigh the same.
I guarantee that one day one will work better than the other which means that if you only had one of the two, you'd be lacking.
