Default Rago Mouse!!!

If there is one high dollar lure. That you should put in your tackle box. It is one of rago mouse baits. I understand there not cheap. But there not made in a sweat shop in japan either. There made by Jerry Rago in his home. As you can see there are various diffrent sizes. There is splash baits & walk the dog baits like the rago mouse. This is an effective bait around heavy cover & even along a river channel. Trust me when i say this bait will pay for it self. https://www.outdoorproshop.com/category-s/539.htm I own the delta & the sewer rat. Of course i own just about every bait jerry makes.

I own twoof the Rago Tools (I won one in a charity auction) and a couple of the Rats. The tool is an incredible bait, but there are cheaper ones that are as effective. The Rat is a nice bait, but again I think there are cheaper ones that work just as well.

On the other hand, I DID see a rat-colored bass once. That's when I swore off cheap whisky and went back to Maker's Mark.

While I understand the development costs and associated aggravation, I'd be more impressed if Rago (or another high-dollar lure maker,) would make a baby bass colored swimbait that didn't look a trout in drag, trying to look like a bass.

PeeYEss: I'd like it even more if someone made one that didn't require that one give up fine whisky (no "e" in Maker's Mark Whisky), food, utilities, loose wimmins, or tithing (the first to go,) in order to own such a lure.

Of all the baby bass ones that I have used, this one has proven to look the best to me.

Nice one, Cass!

Still, I'd like to see a HARD swimbait in true bass shape and colors.

That softie looks great, though.

I got myself a slow sinker and fast sinker version of the Tru-Tungsten swimbaits in baby bass and they are great. Already got a 4 pounder on the first day using the fast sinker.

Yep!!! The big kitties on the river can't stand it. I use it as a deadstick bait on the pionts of wing dams. Current provides all the swimming motion i need. The dang thing wieghs quite a bit. I use an Extra Heavy pete maina rod from BPS just to throw it.

Yes some 8 & 10lb kitties. I know it will do better when it warms up around here. I thaught we were there. Then 2 weeks ago oldman winter came back & refuses to leave. I just need warmer weathor. Regardless of the joke & what i paid for thing is. This thing looks so real. I never scene a bait up close that looks as real as this thing does. Jerry is with out a doubt an artist,

LiLMooseCountry - Thanks for the link to our site!

Guys, I have to tell you that the Rat is a fish catcher - from California to Maine. There may be cheaper one's but, this one for sure is a fish catcher. Ask around - google Rago Rat and see what you can find on other forums. I am not trying to sell them to you - we have lots of baits to sell - but, I personally own at least 5 of these in different sizes and colors and 3 of them I paid full price for before I started working here!

Also - As for those of you who are interested in a Baby Bass hard bait... Hold tight, there is a SICK one on the way very soon from one of the best swimbait makers. I have a prototype and watched it catch fish last weekend from my boat. (I wasn't throwing it unfortunately!)

Glad to see a new board and this site looks pretty high end - can't wait to see how it develops!

Catch a giant!

Well on the missouri river it's hienz 57 fishing. While other species are targeted. The cats are the dominant species. I never scene bass over 3 lbs in that river same goes for the walleye. So it not always what intended it's what i get. I guess that's why i like fishing the mighty mo so much. The not knowing what's on my line. To be honest i've causght bigger cats in swimbaits than livebait. My biggest is 80lbs.
