Default Darn Monkey got me yesterday

I went BPS and managed to escape with 2 dollars in wallet..

So close to being broke..

Got 100mph rain gear Goretex stuff. Think I left happy till on the ride home I relized I just spent 600.00 bucks of my hard earned money..

Got some horny toads and some BA's Saltwater Series and some Gink and some glasses. Oh and that new Goretex suit.. I think now know why it is referred to as Gore your wallet Tex...

But I look good...and in the end that is really,, what matters..

Shoulda bought the Cabelas Guidewear. If this is your first set of GoreTex rain gear you'll love it, even thought it's the BPS gear.

My plan is test the 100 mph status of said suit..

I got it in forrest green so it would match my bow tie and cumberbun..

Got a sweet, frilled lime green fringed shirt all picked out too.

The fish are gonna just jump in the boat once they this suit.. or as my loverly bride calls it "my costume"

Sounds like a very productive day at BPS. The Baitmonkey did good pal. And your absolutely right. As long as you look good, thats what counts, haha And you still have $2.00 left to buy the winning lottery ticket so you can go back to BPS again! It's a win win situation Mike.

Nice haul Capt! They had some on sale a while back at BPS in Jackson. I have wanted a set for years, but could never really justify saving for them.

Boogie, what's the reasoning behind Cab over BPS?

None Bubba, just busting Mike's chops (BPS vs. Cabela's is like Ford vs Chevy). They both have excellent Gore Tex rain gear. The one advantage I found is if you have patience, Cabela's sale prices are better on the rain gear. Watch their sales - I've bought some rain gear pieces at 50% savings but a clothes horse like Mike, probably doesn't mind paying top dollar just to be in style. They actually have several pieces on sale NOW in the Bargain Cave at savings of 30% +, depending upon the particular piece. Cabela's should pay me, y'know? If you consider the different styles - I recommend bibs & parka, they will keep your lower back dry. The pants combined with a jacket WILL expose that area if you bend over. Bibs & jacket or pants & parka will get by, but the best driest combo is the bibs & parka.
