Check out your local bait shops in and around Ocala. They will help you select what is working in your area......much better than trying to get all the stuff all at once. I'd recommend one good plastic worm, some split shot to weight it, then one good crankbait such as a Bandit 100 series, black back and pearl belly. Some grub heads (unpainted lead heads 1/8 ounce weight) from wal mart, and two packs of 3 inch grubs, one light colored, one medium color such as pumpkinseed or green pumpkin.........one floating Rapala S-11, this will have silver sides, a black back and a white belly....excellent lure. Learn to fish these baits very well before moving on. If you can't find the Bandit crankbait, wal mart has a Bill Norman Mad N in the Arkansas Shad Color for a little over three bucks.....Says "Dives 3 to 5 Feet" on the card if I remember correctly......will go deeper when trolling on light line such as 6 lb.
Worm color, I'd probably start with solid black, myself.....a ribbon tail worm such as a culprit, or zoom brand are both good choices. Hope this helps, Mac |

if you are looking for a visual picture of what a color or lure looks like just search for it on basspro.com 95% of time they will have a picture of it or something very similar in their online catalog.

walmart can be a life saver when i need tackle closest bass pro is 3 states away. you can also try dicks sporting good and sports authority talk to the guys that work there alot of them fish. the local bait shops are great source of info and you should buy something when you go there to support there buisness but it will cost alot more so your better off buying the majority of tackle someplace else. the last time i was in your area i used mostly soft plastics. swimbait.com big hammer assualt plastics is having a clearance sale on salt shaker worms 120 for 6.99 thats an incredible deal try the 5" purple bluegill i cleaned up on that last time i was there. texas rig these if you dont know how to do that go to utube(another good place to learn things) and they have video on all the different wasy to rig plastic baits. the most important thing to remember when trying any thing new give it a chance be patient in most casses slower is better

If you can/allowed to, try BPS or Cabela's on-line stores.

Check out any local tackle shops. They will be able to help you a great deal, especially with sizes, colors, etc that work good in your area.
