spiderwire
Spiderwire just came out with a new braid called ultracast invisi braid witch is invisible. I have been using spiderwire for the past 6 years and i love it i mainly use the braid as in the stealth and ultracast i think its the best braid. Power pro sucks dont use it its a waste of money. Suffix is my second choice but both sw and suffix are better than pp.

Invisible braid? I've never heard of such, i'll have to check it out.. i doubt that it is as invisible as lets say flouro or mono but still, all the braid i've ever seen isnt even close to being clear. Although i have to dissagree with your powerpro opinion, i've been using it for awhile now and dont have anything negative to say about it.

i use calcutta ultra braid, cause it works for me..now me and power fro are currantly at odds.
but i can't stand ANY spider wire products on my gear. i tryed it and trust me i don't like ANY of it.. there thickness on there products are just not to my likin. there mono 12 pound test is 3 times the size of just about any other mono i have seen on the market. -inculding the stren extra tough- on a side note you made a bad choice bashing power pro with your first post on this board.there is a bunch of power pro users here.the sound you just heard is the loyal power pro users getting in line for the mud feast-and your there #1 target- in my opinion some will swear by it others will swear at it. USE WHAT YOU WANT TO-EVEN IF IT IS TRUE CRAP.. nuff said zooker

power pro sure sucks, the same spool that caught 4 bass weighing over 5 lbs in half an hour was the same spool that caught the same 10 pounder twice......more than a year later. I guess the only reason I kept it on my reels this long is because of how expensive it was, not because of how strong and sensitive it is even though the increased casting distance doesn't help and the limp line just makes it too easy to tie knots.

I use all three brands mentioned. I put suffix on my Revo and it casts a mile. I use both types of Spiderwire and mainly Power Pro. I bought two spools of Spiderwire when it first came out. How many years ago was that? Last year I finally spooled up with it and I've had no problems with 10 plus year old line. I want to try some more Suffix as I like the way it casts and feels. I have nothing bad to say about any of them except some tip wrap.

Powerpro sucks, huh? Remind me to not pay a lot of attention to of your other words of wisdom. Way to make an impression with your first post, Skippy.
BTW, if Powerpro sucks why is it so many of the pros-you know, they guys that cast for cash-use Powerpro on their frog and flipping rods? Hmmmmm?

I can't say Power Pro sucks. I've used it for Frogs with no problems. I used Spiderwire Stealth and I'm not a real fan of it. My brother tried the new Fireline Crystal and likes it but it's not "invisible". I'd like to "see" LOL an "invisible" braid. That would be the deal! I'll let you know what I think of Suffix braid after this weekend.

I've Tried Stealth and the Ultracast Spiderwire and it blows chunks. Both of them Dig into themselves really bad so everytime I catch a fish or get hung a little bit the next cast will go so far and stop. I donno...Im still looking for a braid that wont do this.

Leroy, usually braids will have slight casting issues when you first spool up, but after you wear it in, give it a week or 2 of solid fishing it becomes the best line you've ever used... but i'd stick with Powerpro when talking braids though.

Leroy, all braids will dig in-just the nature of the beast. If you pull off a little line after having a lot of tension on the line it will fix the problem. I started using Spiderwire but switched to Powerpro for a couple of reasons. First and probably the biggest reason was the recommendation of a guy that is an extremely good bass fisherman whose judgement I both respect and trust. The second reason is PP is round, where Spiderwire is flat. The flat line digs in to the spool a lot more than the round Powerpro does.

leroy i find that spooling the braid and reeling it back on REAL tight helps keep it from gophering in the spool..
