Default Bilge Pump Problems

Hi, I have had a new auto bilge pump put in last week and I used the boat for the first time yesterday and now my bilge pump is DONE it worked fine yesterday kicked on 3 times for about 1 minute each time it kicked on, Went to the lake again today didn't kick on after about 3 hours so I flipped the switch and nothing. Thanks for the help

Did you check to see if it blew a fuse? Also are you sure that something didn't get lodged under the float and cause it to stay on and burn up?

I have not checked for a fuse, but my old bilge pump did the same thing used it one time then it never did anything the next time I went out..

Take the wiring apart jumper to battery if it works its a fuse or breaker in between,odds are without a float switch and a manual on off it has a fuse or breaker behind that switch or one in between in the wiring.Bilge pumps tend to last for years,as not used that much.
