Default Coffee for Bass?

I read in Field and Stream that Strike King is coming out with tubes scented with coffee. The article said that they claim bass love the smell and taste. Now, as much as I talk to other anglers and as much as I've been on here I've never heard anything about coffee. Have any of you?

Yeah, I have a pack of 'em. Bender gave them to me this Fall, and I am yet to use them. If they work as they claim, de-scenting stuff and all, they should be a hit.

Several years ago , I used Eco gear brand plasti that were coffee scented. They worked extremely well for me back then.Norie Tanabe was the creator of the baits, don't know how I got Japanese brand baits back then, but they were good until, the last drop. P N J

I was thinking. After you make your coffee, take the left over grounds and put them in a ziplock bag. Then throw in some unscented plastic lures. See if it makes a difference. I think I'll try that this spring.

I soak my flipping baits in Thunderbird. I don't think it does a damn thing, but I figured I would at least try and find a use for the bottle I had laying around. Lord knows you can't drink it.

Come on WTL, I've had some really remarkable experiences on Wild Irish Rose. (15 years ago, and all were remarkably bad).
This brings about a new question, can you get a fish drunk or might a fine scotch attract fish?

If I understand what I've read correctly, I believe the whole point of coffee tubes was to provide hungover bass fisherman a shot of caffeen. Just pop one in your mouth and chew. And if the bass are willing to take one, well hell, so much the better.

Hey BigBassin144 I was thinking about doing the same thing, just put some coffee grounds in a empty bag and put some extra plastics in it to see if their is a difference
