Question What To Do When Smallmouth Fishing

ok i have been fishing smallies for about 2 years... in a shallow running creek.
has deep spots here a there. i have some luck but its been ok fishing... what should i do what lures. i just got some rebel crawfisg that i have high hopes for. but yeah anyhelp would be nice.

get a 3/8oz chartreuse/white spinner bait with chartreuse blades and burn it over there heads. Works for me everytime. Thats my confidence bait with smallies.

but with the spinner i would have to realy run it fast. the water is shallow about 2 to some parts 4 amybe more if lucky. but the bottom is rocky.

not fast if u use a light enough bait.in warmer waters try this:reel it fast enough to make it create wakes on the surface but not breaking the water`s suface.they usually smash it.its called "burning" it

if you use colorado blades it will keep your bait up at slow speeds because of the shape of the blades

but your best bet would be to drag tubes or hair jigs

I use 3/16th oz texas rigged watermelon zoom tubes most of the time down at my smallmouth creek and a white/chartreuse terminator w/ the big gold willow and tiny chrome colorado above it.
