Jig Without Hook Eye??
I found a jig in my case that does not have the traditional hook eye to tie your line to. Instead it has a molded in tube at the snout that exits at the bottom of the jig head just in front of the skirt barb.
My question is what kind of jig is it and how do you tie your line to it? Thanks...Burr |

Sounds like a mormyshka. You run the line through the snout and out the back, and then snell it to the hook shank.

Some years back, Bomber produced a jig with a bullet head and a little longer shank hook. The line was threaded through the head then tied to one of those corkscrew trailer keepers that slipped over the hook. I still have a handful of those. They are excellent jigs for fishing heavy cover/grass. Can't figure why they never caught on.
