Default Browning Citori spinning reel

I went to bass pro shop and I bought a Browning Citori.Reguar price was $99.99, I got it on sale for $49.88. It has an aluminum frame, titanium coated aluminum spool(no spare spool)8 bearings(7 bearings + a one way roller bearing for the power lock )Aluminum & felt washer drag system. The bail is a system designed not to trip while casting which if you crank the handle to trip the bail you most likely will not like this reel, but I prefer to close the bail by hand to prevent loose line wraps on the spool. The spool locks where you stop turning the handle , no back play so you should get a consistant hookset. For the money, I think it was a pretty good buy, P N J

I was given a Pflueger President baitcaster in the Spring and I went to BPS and bought a Browning Citori 7'MH to go with it. I threw it all year so far. It has caught everything from Largemouth Bass to channel cats to Northern Pike. I really like it. It has been a very good rod for the $

PNJ,

I went down to the new BPS in Clarksville, IN a couple of weeks ago and was looking at reels. A guy working there told me that Silstar who makes Pinnacle reels, also makes Browning and BPS reels and owns Pflueger. You know how I like my Pinnacle reels so that Browning should do you well.
