Paint.com
I'm looking for an image editor or more specifically a paint program that is free and is better than the basic Painter installed on my computer. I'd prefer photoshop or Corel Painter because I'm somewhat fimiliar with those, but I can't afford either of them, and do not want to illegally acquire them, lol.
I've tried GIMP, but it I can't use it as a painter program to create something, just as a photo editor. Am I doing something wrong or missing something, or is it just a photo editor with no paint program abilities? So, has anybody ever used RealWord's paint program at: http://www.rw-designer.com/image-editor? Any feedback if you have would greatly be appreciated. Thanks, BB

Have you concidered "Paintshop pro"?.....designed by Jasc, its now owned by Corel, and the full version is only like $79 or so.....alot of folks swear by it, and compare it to Photoshop in many ways....you can download a free trial version at Corels site if your interested.....also take a look at their "painter essentials"....bout the same cost.....the best paint program out there is by far "Corels Painter"....yeah, its like $400 for the full version, but if your an artist with a nice Wacom drawing tablet then this or Photoshop is the only way to go....only Photoshop is alot more expensive.
There are several free paint programs around....depending on what your lookin to do with it, will decide if any of them will work for you. |

The Gimp can do anything any of the other image editors can. You just need to learn how to use it.
