Whoohoo! it finally arrived today!
I topped off the battery and immediately got to shooting. I've mostly been expirementing with all functions of the SLR that are new to me. I've taken about 500 pics so far, with maybe 2-3 keepers, lol. But like I said, most everything I've shot so far has been around the house messing with exposure, aperture, ISO, exposure compensation, etc. The jump to 3.5fps from our P&S's like 2 has been cool. So far, most of my shots (and I think all the good ones) have been in Aperture Priority mode, lol. But so far, I've used all the "creative modes". Manual was fun, but I'm not quite good enough to get the pictures to come out good on the first try... or second... or third... lol. Due to the rain, no outside shots I'll post some pics once I take some more good ones. BB

Anthony, I think you're going to find that "Aperture Priority" mode will be your favorite. I love playing with depth of field with it. Once in a while, "Manual" is fun, if you're feeling brave.
I want to see some pics!!! By the way...I have a stunning pic of your Ky. Lake Smallie if you want it. If you PM me your email-addy, I'll send you the full res pic.

Ryan, I went with the Xsi with the 18-55mm and 55-250mm. Now I'm saving up for the Canon EF 100mm f2.8 Macro.
I haven't looked at that photography on the net. I'll have to check it out. Bryce, you can email the pic to bigbassin144@aim.com BB

I loved the autumn pics.....Those were beautiful. I too love photography only I don't have a fancy camera anymore, so i'm stuck with my little point-n-shoot Fujifilm FinePix 8.3mp unit....but it takes surprisingly good pics....here's a few I just took of my other hobby.

Those are really cool pics KingFisher. I can see one of those making a nice desktop photo. My wife uses a point and shoot and I'm often suprised at how good a shot it will take. So often it's the photos composition and how it's taken that makes the shot.
