Good reel, smooth drag, smoth when reeling in, affordable. But if I were to spend between 40-80 dollars in a reel, I would either choose a Sedona of Solstace for 50 dollars or 80 dollars in a Symetre, it has better drag and one more bearing and just one step below a Stradic.

I just got a Sahara yesterday. I've used them before and they are awesome reels for the price. I like them more than the stradic. I've used a number of stradics and am overall unimpressed with them.

I have two identical Sedona 4000FB s on my rods. I have never had any problem with them and they are smooth. Although I have never used any "high-end" reels to compare them to.

Default Look no further than A Fenwick Rod

Ahh, I see your buying a fenwick. I would suggest the HMX series. The HMG doesn't feel right. Eagle GT's are an entry rod, and you'll want something better soon. HMX are IM7 blanks, but are done with a cross scrim construction. BTW what action rod are ya lookin for?

The Sahara is a pretty good real but I would recommend getting a Symetre, I love them and there only 20 more bucks.

I am looking for a Medium Heavy action rod.I think its the HMX I looked at the other day. I also looked at some Shimano rods. The Shimanos were lighter but the Fenwicks had a better feel to them.

Well guys I think I have figured it out. I went to Sports Academy today and checked things out. I have decided that i am going to get a Flueger Trion spinning reel with a Shimano Sojourn rod and a Shimano Curado with a Fenwick HMX rod. I realy liked the Trion cause it was smoother than the Sahara and it has 3 more bearings than the Sahara.

Where do you get the money for this stuff? You're 16, right?

Im 13.............. I am getting the spinning setup for my birthday and I am going to use the money I get for my birthday along with the 120 bucks I got now to get the Curado. I am also gettting my baitcaster that was stolen replaced so I will probably get another baitcaster. Maybe a Team Diawa reel if I get lucky and talk my mom into it.

Team diawa advantage looks like a good reel for the money, although some people say its too wide.

Yeah 02 thats what shocked me. The trion has a 7 bearing system and is really smooth and comes with an extra spool for quick line changes for just about 40 bucks with tax. I liked its feel a little better than the Sahara....
