caught while in bed..
this is the first bed i found on badin..i saw the fish chasing brim. and got a good look then backed off the bed trimmed the moter all the way up. floored the troller yanked it up just before the weeds and slid to a silent stop pitching distance from the bed. -dam i am good-
i caught the male.dropped him in the livewell. the female was BIG 8 pounder easy..but she just would not bite ANYTHING.. i even used a tiny bushhog dipped in enough garlic to floor a vampire. she would not touch it... after 45 mintues or so of trying to catch the female. i releasd the male and pushed out of the weeds.. i circled the bed the yellow spot is the female. the crap on the water is oak pollen. had to do a major wipe down to remove it.. zooker

Sometimes when they ignore everything, a fly tossed in there will be hit in seconds.

I have always had better luck leaving and coming back but from and from a further distance and throwing the biggest lizzard you got and putting in the nest. That has worked several time for me.

I've caught several on a crawfish type bait (doesn't matter the brand) rigged on a spot-remover head. Toss it several yards past the fish, then reel it extremely slow right in front of her face. Barely turn the reel handle, don't use the rod cuz you don't want any slack when she hits.
