Default Need Florida Help! Guide in around Kissimee?

Fellas, My family will be in Kissimee April 10-17 and the Missus is giving junior and I one day off from family fun in the sun to fish.

I would like to hire a guide, but have no idea where to start. I don't want to ask the resort (Orange Lakes) who they recommend, i believe they would just pimp someone they know.

Anybody have any ideas?? My boy is only ten and never been on a real boat so someone good with kids would be great...

Thanks in advance!

Give me a PM closer to the trip. I'll see what days I have off that may match up w/ your time's. West Lake Toho, a lil gas money, we'll catch some bass. By the way, I have 4 kids.

That would be awesome!!! We would be gearless though, that might be an issue...

You can check with my buddy who is guiding down there this winter, he has been on some good fish recently. www.josegarzafishing.com or his buddy Art if he's not off doing FLW events: www.artoffishing.com
Those are the only 2 guides I know down there.

I keep anywhere from 8-12 rods on the boat. I have a handful of spinning reels and baitcasters. Like I said shouldn't be a problem, I work a 24 on-48 off schedule so Im sure we can match up a day.

Fire - Thanks for the offer pal, hope we can make it work! You don't want either my son or I around a decent baitcaster... That could waste our whole day ... We are rank amateurs compared to most, but love to fish.
How far in advance do you know your schedule? Missus BH is very organized and will start planning our days..

Barring any unforseen changes in shift-(been on same shift for 10+ yrs) I am open April 11th, 14th, 15th, 17th. The 11,14,17 would have to be a 9-930 start time since I would be coming off shift, the 15th could be a earlier start time. Figure it out, let me know and I'll pencil it in.

Awesom FLF, this sounds like it would work, you tell me what day works best for you and I'll get the jump on the Missus... 14th or 15th would probably be the preference.. Man I'm getting excited!

Im off both days. Just depends on what time you want to start. If the 14th works I'll tote the boat to work and leave from there, the 15th is just a matter of waking up and driving. Toho is about 40-50 minutes for me to drive.
