Default More Kayak Riverbassin'

Here are a few more pics. This model sells for about $600 at Bass Pro Shops. You can add another $100 or so for a seat, paddle and rod holders. So for about $750 you can have a nice river boat that will take you where no bass boat can go. Theres no cost for gas/oil or even registration. Plus, I can haul it in the back of my pick up.

Flint River Georgia

Flint River Shoal Bass

Lake Blackshear Largie

Flint Scenery

We catch Spots too

We have a great time!!!

Hey Zooker - NICE set up man. I'm about 2 1/2 hrs. from saltwater. I get over there a couple times a year. A lot of fun. Heres a pic of me with a nice Red in Jacksonville.

I know what ya mean.... normally I would agree, but AU goofed up this year going to the spread.... geeezzz.... its like they forgot how to play offense. Bama takes them this year. Probably something like 23 - 6. Maybe worse. I knew Bama would bounce back sooner or later. Saban has really been awesome.
You're right Guntersville ain't too far away. Maybe we could meet up sometime half way? Ever done any kayak fishing?

Another one of my pastimes... I enjoy camping as well. Georgia has some nice state parks. Blackshear is really nice.

While my canoe is not a Yak. I do enjoy the no taxes & license thing. To me i seam to fish better. I think paddling does have a stealth like effect on your approach. The canoe gives me access to area's big boats would never be allowed. I perfer a canoe on the river. Over the boat now that i have done both. Bama grab a paddle type boat & enjoy the fun. There nothing more fun then being towed around by a big fish.

Ain't that the truth. Even the "little" 1.5 lb fish can give you a ride.

Mine is an air tube. But I am very careful with mine. I am gonna attach a trolling motor to mine next summer so I don't have to worry about paddling. I am not so much worried about being pulled into a sharp rock or underwater limb as I am about being pulled into a grassy bank with tree overhangs. I don't want to be pulled into any spiders or snake beds along the bank.

Hey Fishin Fanatic. Have you seen the extended bouys that can attach to the yaks that enable you to stand up and cast? Just wondering if you thought about something like that. I like to stand up every now and then in my pontoon to stretch the back and legs but I will not cast in that position since it my pontoon is not designed for that.

Nah Zooker. Had a SOT, sold it.

I do allot of headwaters to major rivers. Up to Class III rapids. Feel more comfortable braced into a SINK that a SOT.

Want a Tarpon 100 though because the older I get, the harder it is getting into and out of the SINK to pee. LoL

This year I'm upgrading the pontoons on my pontoon boat. That's my SOT for the moment.
