The great ZOOK pretty well covered it but he did forget Watermelon candy. Works in clear, stained, muddy wherever you throw it. ONCE in awhile depending on conditions and time of year I get real crazy and throw a off the wall color called chartruse (helps me see the bait).

Throw a color you have confidence in. A hungry bass won't care what color it is. In all my years of fishing, I've caught almost all my bass on the color white. White spinnerbaits, white flukes.Do I think bass prefer white to other colors? No, but I enjoy using that color because of it's high visibility for me and I have all the confidence in the world in it. Confidence, confidence, confidence. That is the key to successfull bass fishing.

I agree with Chuck. I too have been fishing for a number of years and do have my favorite colors, but that dosen't mean that bass have their favorite colors, if bass did have their favorite color then Bass Pro Shops are doing something wrong, because the last time I was there I noticed every color under the sun was for sale. Altho I have caught bass on just about every color, but again it's like Chuck said its "confidence" in the color you choose to use that given day.

Well as usual lots of opinons, but I do know that whatever color you fish with the most, will be the color you catch the most fish with LOL. I prefer darker colors period, whether it's clear or murky, or down right muddy. The exception would be chartreuse, and white, espeicially with any baitfish imitator, such as spinners, cranks. With flukes I really like any color of shad variation. Senkosam best put it like this, fish see in shades, not colors. So a pink, could be the same shade as a light green under certain circumstances, or even a chartreusse. Because again it's a shade not a color, especially when you fish deeper and colors disappear altogether anyway. My favorite colors for worms/lizards/creature baits etc, are Black, Green Pumpkin, and Junebug. However I know all the other colors will work, as I have caught fish on just about every color out there.
Lizards
