Injured before I leave...
Torn calf muscle...
and damn that hurts like all heck. My Saturday sucked after doing that, ER was empty and fast, how rare is that? Looks like I will be down for a few days and lost time at work. Getting the boat ready with the new MK 101, putting the battery in and the strap breaks throwing me off balance and all I hear is "pop" and a shooting pain up to my knee, thought it was an achilles, guess the muscle is slightly better. Hope my 1000 islands trip dont get cancelled because of this, but I am taking it day by day hoping for a fast heal/recovery to fish the smallie fall feed going on now. |

Man that sucks. I haven't torn my calf but my dad did once when we were in a slow pitch softball tournament, and it swelled up the size of a grapefruit and bruised almost instantly. I am really sorry about your bum wheel and I hope it heals up quickly for you.

That's a real bummer! Guy on my Football team tore his thigh and was back 2 weeks later, so hopefully you're looking at a pretty fast recovery time!

How much movement do you have at the ankle? Tendon ruptures are bad and typically require surgery but tears in the muscle can take a while to heal also. You have two muscles that make up the calf. Depending on which you injured and how much damage done will determine recovery and function.

Limited on the ankle, actually tried to drive this afternoon, no way yet. Its the right calf and pushing a gas peddle was not to good and breaking sucked.

Sit down......like me.
Or just go fishing with me. Merrill Creek should be heating up...You can just sit in the back and fish.
