i was suposed to take a lil trip wid da preacher.. something come up an he could not make it..

so this is just to rub it in.-no really-

after a bet was placed forth in the diner during the 6 am hour between my self and an elder ycg member-buzzb8-. i just had to run upstream,just to prove YES there is an island in cabin creek..





now lets see if he pays up..

my shakey head rod prodouced a couple bass but this is the first paca of the year.


i found several deeper fish.




i was fishing parallel to the bank casting the old 5 and dime. ok so it was fairly close to the bank at times..



i would LOVE to find the moron that threw 40 feet of rope in the lake the other end was tied to a tree..

Thats cool, Zooker. You're lucky to be able to fish now...though I don't believe in luck...it was nice here. Around 50 degrees for a while. Snow was all gone. And then BAM! Out of nowhere came 7 inches of snow in a few hours. Damn.

Nice report Zook, thanks. That picture of the island is real pretty, looks like a beautiful place... I assume you took up the rope and disposed of it? I'm always amazed at the junk I find in the and around the water. Last year we found a refrigerator door way off the beaten track... just the door! My son hypothesized it fell from a plane....

glad to see ya got out to zooker, we just got back in from some windy fishin.
Bushhog, ya oughta fish the creeks of the ohio river for "foreign objects" in the water..you name it, its got it!
i once worked a point way back in a creek that had about 600 towmotor wheel rims in the water as structure. Have also seen safes, washers, folding chairs, barrels and much more in the water. Some from floods, alot just thrown in from bridges over head or hillbilly campers that frequent the campsites on the rivers/creeks that feed the mighty ohio.

it is a big stump that was a dead head the guys that duck hunt from the island dragged it up closer to the island to use as a boat tie up place..

The other bad thing is the ropes that people tie their boats to docks with. Sometimes the boat will swing this way or that and the rope will disappear under the water, right in the way of your bait!
