Default Floatin da river

i live a mile or so as the crow flies from the Lynches River in SC. I along with some buddies [probally dad too] want to float the river. Total of 140 mi. and we wanna float half of it.. any ideas on wow long it'd take

also whats your opinion on floating it in the winter or summer?

Well, if you assume that you would average 3 mph over 70 miles that would be 210 hours or 8.75 days. No sleep, just a lot of floating. In all, I would plan on a couple of weeks. Sounds like fun!!!

thats if we float with the current.. but a few hours of GOOD paddleing..floating..sleeping..then same thing over and over. probally could cut it to 8 days total..

i wish just me and my friends could do it..but i doubt that'd happen.. maybe float like 1 day by our self... or a couple nights with my dad..

maybe after we graduate and were "on our own" we'll do it

Allot of factors will affect your floating time, but when fishing figure an average of 1 mile per hour. I'll let you do the math.

I float a 33 mile streach of river every year. Takes me 7 days and 6 nights. We fish it hard.

Don't ask what movie and don't watch it if any one tells you. It may not ruin all camping, but it sure makes floating a river less appealing.....

For me Blair Witch was the screw camping movie. Of course I saw it the day before going camping. Didn't sleep much
