truthfully speaking, one of the easiest baits to use for beginners, and pros is a three hook worm, like the ones I make on my site. You could also find some at walmart (different brand), such as "The Worm" etc. There are differences, I wont get in to them. but they work. just make sure to use a snap swivel.

Noob, welcome to the site. Try a texas rigged worm. I'm not going to elaborate on that one, use the search tool at the top of the page. Here isa site that will help a lot. bassresource.com

Spinners and stickworms are the easiest baits to use.

I just started fishing too and i would have to say that the best bet would be toouse nicely sized hooks. and rubber worms with a bullet weight tied above your swivel. That could be confusing so let me say it like this. Take ytour line, put a bullet weight on it. then tie a swivel onto it, then put your hook on the swivel then put your worm on the hook. But if your fishing ina big lake you should check the test of your line and make sure that its not gonna snap on your first fish you get on. I use Thirty pound test spider wire super braid but i wouldnt recomend it for you my reel casts crappy without alot of weight on. Just go for 14 pound stren or something like that and make sure your drag is adjusted. If you dont know what any of thisstuff is ask on here if i dont tell you someone else will.
