Lightbulb Frog Rig

This is a frog rig that has given much success and has improved my hook up ratio.

good idea in open water bad idea in above surface weeds..which is what i fish..

this frog is not texas rigged. I took a needle and threaded the line through the frog and then tied a single hook on to the line. Then i pulled the hook into the frog

The hook is placed farther back, this makes it alot easier to hook fish.

One question-how does it land? Seems to me it would land hook down and snag up bigtime. Good idea, though.

It lands hook up. Good point though. It would defintaly snag alot more.

i fish on a small lake in a suburb to indianapolis and i have great success using the horney toad. i hook it with a 3/0 eagle claw hook and i use them up and down the shore aiming for rocks and pipe. you can catch some monsters there. i caught a 5.2 pounder and my neighbor caught a 7.5 pounder
