Default Bass Fishing Books?

My wife just got one of those fancy new Kindle Reader that download books electronically. Just for kicks I did a search on Bass Fishing and it ends up there are a ton of books out there for this thing. My question is what are some of the better (and current) Bass fishing books out there? If I am going to read it might as well be something worthwhile!

I've heard Ike's book is good, you may want to check that one out. Other than that, I don't really know about many bass fishing books.

I was leaning towards that one... At least the content should be current.

Any other suggestions appreciated!

Ike's book is awesome. He has really worked to get where he is at. I would suggest it to anyone!

I have 3 or 4 others that I have gotten as gifts over the years that I have gotten over the last couple of years, but have not sat down and read all the way through them yet.

Book of the Black Bass II by Potts.

This book gives some in depth history of the "Green Trout"

I've really like KVD's books, also Roland Martin's 101 bass strategies is a good book, I also liked a book by Babe Winkelman called bass patterns or something like that! Check 'em out!

I realize it's not exactly new but Homer Circle's "Bass Wisdom" is a classic, a superb book by a master angler.

Ike's book is more about his career climb rather than fishing tactic's.

X2 - Not really a book about how to fish.

I think you will enjoy Ike's book even though its not just fishing tactics. He has a lot of inside info on BASS and some other tactics. Its called "Fishing on the Edge", and its enjoyable.

The In-Fisherman Critical Concepts Series books are a very good read, especially for those fishing Northern natural lakes. These are some of the few books that focus on these lakes.

Bass boss is a good book about Ray Scott and how B.A.S.S. came about.

I like the Big Bass Zone (BBZ) that has ads on the home page of this site and Tracking Trophies. I used the knowledge in these books yesterday to get the bass below in the pic. Both I thought are very good. I do not know if they are downloadable or just softback production.

Details are in the boat set up forum under 2000 optimax will not flow water.

The Bass Matrix is in a downloadable version that I got last year. It is a little pricy at around $40 if I remember correctly. It has something like 144 suggestions of what bait to use under certain conditions like, what the bass are feeding on, water temp., Borom. pressure-rising/failing, water depth, clairity, etc. It has suggestion on what lure, color, and even where the bass is located under conditions that are in the I think 144 matrix suggestions.

They say, this is the result of years of research, but that may be a sales pitch. I got the book and the downloadable virson. It seems to have a lot of suggestions through years of research, but I have not just went off current conditions and fished what the matrix said to do to varify if it is worth the money or not. So it is at least an option to consider or google The Bass Matrix to look at the information at their site to see if you want it.
