Never used one, but can't imagine that lure running $20.00! I'd have a very hard time convincing myself to buy one.

Used it they suck! I went to my favorite bass lake and tried it on every lilly pad, cat tail, and scum area i could see and it never prevailed to be worth the 20. Gave it to my uncle.

I have one of the originals. Never had a bass even look at it. Maybe that is why it was given to me.

They do kick up a big wake. Fishing a Stren a few years back one partner did catch a bass on it. Came through the slop pretty well but the catch was nothing special.

I have two one small one large, they do catch fish however that single hook takes some getting used to many missed strikes and yes around pads why do I even toss one occasionally because it can be a bait that one can cull with and entice others to hit that didnt go for a traditional frog.It makes a very big fuss and what hits the big one is normally a culler.
Again takes some getting used to hook set wise, but after you thrown everything throw it and get a couple more.Ps bought mine off ebay used for about 5 bucks. Last edited by lilmule; 06-12-10 at 09:09 AM. |
