Default Boat for father-in-law

Hey guys, my father in law is looking for a new boat and new to boating. I have a 91 Bass tracker Pro-V 17. I bought mine because I got it cheap, but have heard some negative things about tracker boats. He has mostly been looking at a Tracker Pro-Crappie 175 w/ a 60hp Merc, or a complarable G3 with a similar powered Yamaha.

Any suggestions or comments on the above boats? Any other brands similarly priced he should be looking at? Also, he is torn between 2-stroke and 4-stroke. What do you all have for opinions on that.

He is looking for as low maint. as possible, but it will be well taken care of. Used mostly in rivers and some bay use here in Florida. He was also wondering if skiing would be possible behind the above boat. Based off of mine, I told him maybe with a good skier, but not the best. Let's hear your thoughts.
