Crawfish scent many people use for jigs. Garlic for worms.

I prefer a secret scent that I put on all my baits.

I prefer crawdad scents too. I like Carolina Lunker in craw and Smelly Jelly in craw(pink stuff)!

That my friend was one of my little at home projects that I worked on for awhile. I wanted a scent cheap enough and in a big enough quantity that I could have like a quart of it in the boat at all times. Well I am in the testing mode right now.So far so good. Will NOT post the main ingredient due to certain people on the board. I gurantee you the heckling will begin.LOL I will pm you if the stuff keeps working and passes the on the water tests.

Some people put shiner in a blender, add garlic, add salt, add more garlic and salt and pour into a large plastic container. Spoon some vaseline in, and seal the container and let it sit in the heat for a week or two. I've never done this, and I assume it stinks to high heaven, but my friend reports sucess with it.

scent is used mainly to remove your smell from the lure. If you want the fish to hold on to the bait a bit long try using a piece of Gulp on the hook.

It works wonders on the hard daze. try it w/tubes and jigs.

SKEETER,
Go to the grocery store of your choice and pick up a spray can of garlic flavored PAM. That is all you will ever need. It is eays to find, easy to use and cheap to buy. In addition, everyone will think you have a pizza in your tackle box and offer you a beer!!!

A simple garlic scent is easy to make. Take two heaping tablespoons of Garlic powder, one teaspoon salt, and two cups hot tapwater.....stir well. Pour some of this into each baggie of soft plastics and re-seal. Now float the baggies of lures on a pail of hot tapwater for twenty minutes.....then open each bag and drain off the excess liquids...re-seal.

If you get any mold in the bags in the heat of summer, simply rinse lures and bags in cold water and re-treat.

Not being an oil based concoction, it won't help you slip the lures more easily through thick weeds, but being a water based formula, it will penetrate the plastics well and carry the scent with it.

The cats outta the bag now. Yes I use the scent from ZOOK-EN-STEIN lures and it does contain wart hog urine and I do mix it with KY jelly. It goes along way doing it this way.

What is a "HOOL" How do I set one? Do HOOLS come in regular sizes; 1/0,/2/0, etc?
Even though I went to Elementary Hool, Jr. High Hool, High Hool, and Kawlidge, I never heard of a HOOL.
Can you sharpen a HOOL? Did Dr. Seuss really mean to say that Horton
Hears A HOOL? Do they make treble HOOLS? Can I get red HOOLS?
Just askin'...

Zook, did you get that urine fresh? Cuz otherwhise its no good. I probably shouldn't say this in a place where there could be unscrupulous characters and other riffraff, but I heard something about a new W**z B***g with a warthog urine dispenser built in. All chrome plated y'know.
