Default Joke of the day

A young wanna-be gunfighter walks into a saloon, and notices an old man sitting at the bar nursing a beer. He recognizes the old man as a famous ex-gunfighter who was known as the fastest gun in the West years ago.
He walks up to the old man, buys him a beer, tells him of his aspirations to be a quick-draw specialist, and asks if he has any advice for him.
The old man looks him up and down, and says, "Well, first thing is, you're wearing your gun too high. Drop it a couple inches so you don't have to bend your elbow so much to draw."
So the young buck adjusts his gunbelt a little lower. He draws his gun, and shoots the bowtie off of the piano player's neck in one lightening fast motion.
The old man nods. "Not bad," he says. "Now, cut a notch out of the holster where the hammer touches it. That'll smooth out your draw a lot."
The youngster gets out his knife and cuts out a little notch so that the hammer is clear of the leather. He then draws again, shooting the cufflinks off of the piano player's wrists.
"Ok, now see that barrel of axle grease over by the end of the bar? Get a handful of it and rub it on your gun."
The younger man is confused, but figures the old man knows what he's talking about, so he smears some grease on the barrel of his gun.
"No, son, cover the WHOLE gun with it."
The would-be gunfighter says, "But, that'll make the grip and all too slippery to hold on to. What good is that?"
The wise old man says, "That way, it won't hurt as much once Wyatt Earp gets finished playing the piano and shoves that gun up your @$$....."
