They used to have a 4:1 PT Energy Series in 2005, but it's been dicontinued in 2006.
These days I really on the Lews 4:1 (bb19gs), or a Quantum PT Energy Series in the 5:1.

I can't see a rod wearing you out as opposed to throwing the outfit to hard and trying to get to much distance...get closer with your boat and alternate some side arm along with a overhead to give your arms a break..
I prefer sidearm casting on most of mine, but it never wears me out.
JB, you mentioned that you use a MH 6'6" Bionic Blade. Since I use BPS Xtreme Rods (in my opinion, very similar to the Bionic Blades), I was curious if you were throwing 4-10' divers with the MH Bionic and if you felt that you lost fish because of the stiffness.

i've checked out today a quantum pt tour edition siganture series rod. it was the gary klein rod with 7' MH action and 1/4 - 1 1/2 oz. i was wondering if i could use this rod with my new curado to throw all kinds of crankbaits (also the deep running cranks)?

thx for ur help

Sebastian-you can. I prefer a medium action rod so there is less chance of pulling the hooks out of the fish's mouth, but that is a great rod for all around bass fishing.

What crankbait spinning rod will you use for big crankbaits like DT16,DD22? I don't think that a rod with Medium action can handle these baits??

wishin,
I do a sideways sweep with the heavier rods on the hook set, don't loose to many crankbait fish, probably the most are on rattletraps, but generally speaking I 've gotten used to the stiffness of these rods, I 've had them for 12 years now. (reels too)

RB, throwing a DD22 is tough with any rod. I use a 7' Falcon Low Rider Big Cranker and you KNOW you are reeling a big bait even with that.
