For those of you that don't know, this is what he's talking about.....
Somebody on the weather channel the other day had mentioned the hurricane may hit "the land mass between New Orleans and Mobile." Moron....there's a STATE THERE! Then yesterday, I saw a weather report where the weather girl said the hurricane may hit "....the border of Louisiana and Alabama." Moron.....there's a STATE THERE!

The Rodney Dangerfield of states. Doesn't look like Isaac has much respect for yall either. Hunker down. Maybe some rain will do you some good?

Rain would definitely be a blessing. The MS River is at its lowest level since 1988, so low that there's a 8 mile (I think) stretch that the Coast Guard has closed down to prevent barges from running aground. But with Isaac just impacting the very southern end of the river, it won't help that at all. But we definitely need the rain here.
We may be getting too much....the storm is only going 7 mph right now, so it's going to dump a ton of rain eveywhere it goes....

I guess we have everything batted down. If it blows off....it is what it is though. We are starting to get some wind and the rain should start picking up soon. I have been going around the house and trying to make sure I have got everything picked up though.
The storm isn't what really bothers me, its the POS people that act like a werewolf on a full moon. But I got 45 reasons to deter them from around here.

I was wondering about you, Bubba. I'd thought about texting you later on. If y'all need to head north, come on up, we'll have a storm party.

I was just looking around outside and the clouds are getting sucked south like they are heading to a family reunion. We should be catching some good feeder bands here in another hour or 2. It is just a constant south wind from the storm pulling now.

Hey Bubba, this might be a great time to test out the strength of some of your rods. Rig them with 70# braid and tie a kite to them and see how they hold up. Be careful down there. Like John and Daniel said, get outta Dodge if it looks bad. OHHH, AND DANIEL, JUST WHERE IS MISSISSIPPI ANYWAYS?

Hopefully it heads straight north and drenches Iowa, Missouri, South Dakota and so forth. Of course it is too late for the farmers, but they still need rain.

it DOES look like it is headed for the drought ares, but too little too late for the farmers. but it'll help make their grass grow. floods in new orleans and all along the "land mass areas too. mobile, dauphin island is getting a good 3-4 feet of storm surge water. i am praying no one gets killed from this storm. haven't heard of any as of yet. hopefully it'll stay that way. bubba, daniel. keep us informed of your families ok?
