Lightbulb Modification

Modify A Top Water Lure:

One good fishing tip I know is involves modifying you weedless top water lure. When you buy one of these lures, it comes with a lead weight wrapped around the shaft of the double hooks. If you remove this and the tail that comes with the lure, you will be able to add a spinner bait skirt,Preferably one end of older types. Simply slip the skirt over the hooks and slide it back together. It clogs up the hole much better, allowing you to fish longer without having to drain it.It also can add some verity to the color scheme you're trying to achieve.

Just think how you action on these baits would be if you just added a skirt!

Skirts aren't just for the Scottish any more boys!
