Default Help with Chem Project

Hey guys,
For our final chemistry project, we have to pick any topic we want and explain the science behind it (including a copious amount of chemistry). Oh course, I picked the science of bass fishing.
I was wondering if you guys had any ideas on what I could use as points.
What I have so far is:
water pH
Scents
How Line conditioners work
and I suppose i could explain the difference in rod building materials.
Anything else would be greatly appreciated. thanks
-Cranky

I'm assuming you're a high school senior, and an appropriate chemistry topic might be the eutrophication of bodies of water. Simply put, this is the process by which a lake starts out as a pristine, crystal clear body of water with little life, and over many years, progresses towards a more "eutrophic" lake, with less pristine water, but more life. It all has to do with the Nitrogen Cycle, and nutrients introduced to the water by wildlife and natural decay of biomass.

eutrophication... interesting. I guess this is the same process by which crater lakes end up abundant with life? I'll be doing some research, thanks

I get the feeling Zooker was the kid who built the working volcano for the grade school science fair.
