Two weeks to go and I think I'm just about ready. Last 3 days I spent washing the boat, compounding the boat, polishing the boat, waxing the boat, cleaning the seats, vacumn the carpet, polishing the chrome. Thank God the rain came today or I would have had to cut the grass - I hate that.

Got to love a clean boat!

Well, I just got in from changing out both sets of trailer brake lights with LEDS, and the Identification Light Bar too. My trailer is now LEGAL...yes!

Hey fellas, wanted to let ya know that I am shipping the Bait Monkey Big Bass plaque to Bryce today via USPS. It's been fun having it hang here and now it's time for someone else to win this thing. Good luck to all you guys.

Keith, remember I am leaving on Sunday the 6th. I hope you chose a shipping option that gets it to me by next Saturday. Otherwise, I'll just have to keep it.

It will get there soon. Whether you get to keep it depends on your bass fishing luck/skill.

Anyone know if they have grills at the cabins at Cedar Hill? I looked around on the website and didn't see any mention of them. I like to have a steak, and it they don't have grills, I'll have to take one.

Bruce, if I were you, I would take along a small portable charcoal grill regardless. I have yet to see a grill at any kind of park or camp ground I would want to grill on. They are usually in rather nasty condition.

Excellent point, that's what I'll do. Good thinking on your part, not so on mine, because I've been to enough of "those places" I should have thought of that myself. He!! getting old....................

GROCERY? They should be able to recommend a decent BUTCHER SHOP at the resort. I mean those people that live there got to get their meat somewhere, they can't live off roadkill. Whichever, I'm sure we can find some good steaks, I would offer to bring some PRIME +++ steaks, but I have 4 days at the Potomac, meat won't keep a week on ice and I prefer fresh (but well cured) meat anyway. So one night IS steak night, some potatoes to bake, and some (is it too much to hope) asparagras, all we need is some hollendaise.

Let's do it early in the week and once Daniel arrives we can find some roadkill 'possum so he can have his Mississippi Happy Meal.

By the way...the Bait Monkey is safely in my custody now. Let me tell you something...Keith knows how to pack an item safely LOL. There could have been a jar of nitro glycerine in that box and it would have been safe.

You let the monkey outta da box, BEFORE you arrived at the Hollow? No telling what trouble that little bastage may get into while on the way.

Well, I'm just about all packed up, yep found my little grill, and ready to go. Leaving tomorrow morring dim & dark for the Potomac. See you Sunday evening Bryce, the rest of you when you arrive.

I got a PM from Harold (bassfisher) about maybe coming to Dale Saturday night (I assume to fish Sunday?) I wanted to talk it out here instead of in PM's because it involves more people than just me.

Harold, I have a cabin reserved for this Sunday until next Sunday.

I think Ron has a cabin reserved from next Thursday until next Sunday.

Correct me if I'm wrong about any of the following.

As far as Saturday night goes...

Daniel is staying with us and Woody is staying with Ron?

Do we have room for Harold and his wife on Saturday night? It sounds like we have 5 in the 6-person cabin and 3 in the 4-person cabin. Not a good setup for a couple.

(By the way, Harold...you would need a TN license..1-day at least. There is a section of Dale that is in Kentucky, but where we are is solidly in TN and their regs apply there.)

That's the way it is right now, Bryce, but it doesn't matter to me where I stay. I've roomed with Ron and Adam before, I can do it again to make space for 2 in your cabin.

K guys/gals. Most likely we won't show up, but if we did, I was just wondering if we had a place to rest or heads, that's all. Heck I have not even asked if she wants to go or not. We have her sons wedding at 230pm Sat 5/12/12, we have to break it down, be around 6ish before we could even think about heading your way, so I'd say she won't go for it. I was just trying to ask before you all leave. But THANKS, and I'll try to let you know by Sat 5/5/12.

The weather looks like it's going to be awesome.

We ought to be able to find Bassfisher and his wife a bed for the night. Our cabin will sleep 6, I believe.
