Put the hook through the seam of the worm, and make sure its a sharp hook.

How soft is the fuzz? Is it bristly or really soft?

looks like and old berkley worm -can't remember the name- had like velcro on the side of it.. it was supose to "grab hold" the fishes mouth..actually i think the bass teeth were supose to tangle in it.. but they are not made any longer as far as i know..

Itīs called a "Sticky Worm", Culprit manufactured them about 15 years ago and then discontinued them, it has a strip of the furry part of velcro inserted in the plastic, in theory it was supposed to catch the teeth bass have on the lips, the contraption never really worked as intended, they were a little bit more expensive than regular Culprit worms ( pack price the same but less baits per pack ). I have some of those still left, couldnīt find the regular ones in stock and the only ones available were those "sticky" ones.

Sounds like you're in a hairy situation...

Zooker and/or Raul have got it covered.

You guys have obviously missed the male version...

Play with this site for a few minutes or just let him sit there.... It can be somewhat entertaining..

Well, if itīs too hairy you can use a weed eater, then the lawn mower and finish with the trimmer.
