Default Swim Bait help.

I want to try using swim baits. I'm somewhat familiar with the options and what I think will be most useful to me are the ones where you buy the plastic swimbait separate from the hook with the weight already molded to the hook. You nose hook the SB and then skin hook or texpose the hook into the back of the SB. IE, I want this bait to be weedless. I'm fishing N. Texas and S. Okia. Tournaments. Mostly stained to moderately clear water. No gin clear water. Fishing for bass in the 2lb to 6lb range mostly. I want to fish this bait mainly on rocks or rip rap, points and weed beds. IE no specific targets. I'll use it like I would a crankbait.

So, please recommend some brands of Swim Baits with colors and sizes included. Also, recommend some hooks with the size of hook I need and the size weight that's attached to the hook.

Thanks.

i have always had luck with the berkley powerbait bladedancer 1/4 oz. they have a firetiger , black , and a few other colors depending on the situation . they have a nice swimming motion and are one of the first things i tie on . they come in a five pack with a lipped hook already set in one so you can use whatever you wish in the others

Jigger, rather than go out and spend a lot of $$$ on swimbaits I'd start with some of the Storm baits. They have a wide variety of styles, sizes, and colors, won't break the bank, and will definitely catch fish.

one of the best weedless swim baits i have found is the bass assassin 5" swim bait. these come with out a hook. pick up a pack of falcon weighted hooks 4/0-6/0 rig the hook in the swim bait texaspose and swim in thru the weeds..
