Default BaitMonkey Bites JB...JB Bites Back!

Man of man ! The state of ohio transferred my state return to my bank account, and I just dispersed of it in..what else? TACKLE!
Went out for some beer and flowers for the wife, ended up getting most of the items I either destroyed or lost last year. Picked up a nice quantum spinning reel, some trilene 20 lb low vis line and then picked up that PowerPro line that everyone here has wood over......
Now, heres my question to the guys that use it ....I picked up the 40lb test and am wondering what everyone suggests on what reel/application to use it on...I use a calcutta to flip with, and 4 quantum baitcasters to either crank, top water, spinnerbaits, or jerkbaits...I am guessing that from previous post that I can stick to mono for crankin' or spinnerbaits. Do most of you recommend just using it for flipping?
OK, now back to the monkey that bite me HARD...I ended up finding two super neat colors of the DD22(Normans), one is called slick, a purple flecked back on a pearl body, the other is a neat combo or about 6 colors , with a salmon pink for a belly. Next on the agenda was 3 Manns-1, shad, black n silver, and another in crawdad..
Picked up some bleeding tubes, watermelon/chartrues, but really 99% green with a tad of red/yellow tips. Got a hand full of Zoom Horney Toads,
white and also green/yellow, however couldn't find any 4 or 5/0 hooks, so I got a hand full of gammys 3/0 offset just for spite ..rofl...
Also got some Arkie spinnerbaits, with the tortouse shell back, I had a few last year that fell apart due to old age, also got some Hart buzzbaits.
Found a neat 5 pack of red trailer hooks and rubber keepers, some UnkieJosh black/chartruse pork trailers, some watermelon 5/16 jigs, a hand full of ratLtraps, got all I need now, except I want the rayburn red trap by CottonCordel....lets see..got some of the superflukes in watermelon (geesh I hope this years water is clear like last year lol), got some pearl flukes in a smaller size too...also a variety of jigheads. I felt like I was on drugs at the checkout counter, a euphoric feeling to say the least , anticipaiting using them.. its awesome! baitmonkey bite me any time!...
can ya tell its been awhile? rofl..I hadnt bought tackle in a longgggg time!

Sounds like you had a fun day-sometimes buying gear is almost as much fun as using it. Almost .

To answer your question on Powerpro I use it for baits with a single hook-worms, jigs, etc. where you have to do an "active" hookset. It is an excellent pitcing/flipping line.

thanks Reb, I figured I was close to the application...I didn't buy anything to pricey on the quantum, just some run of the mill outfit, but it will do...

I would use it first and foremost with your pitchin/flippin. But then again I use it for everything LOL.

put mono backing on their. then use a uni line to line to attach the mono to the brand and again the uni lin to line to attach the leader.
