The Best Bug Advice You Will Ever Get. For Free.
Don't ever, ever spend another dime on any kind of "short cut", sassafrass, extra-virgin mosquito repellant. Ever. This includes electric zappers, funky lights, candles, oils, sound emitters, propane dispensers, citronella scented leisure suits, incense, bracelets, backslappers or bug baubles. Trust Callin', the bacon-wrapped filet mignon with a side of shrooms and loaded baked potato of the mosquito world. Chemicals, people. Spray chemicals (from an aerosol can) on your skin. All over your body. Not mango fragranced, new-fangled Avon lotion posing as bug spray and, for gracious' sake, not skin so soft (strong enough for a woman and made for a woman). Chemicals. Your choices are Off and Deep Wood Off. Head to toe.
Catchy slogan to help you remember this tip? Deep Woods Off: It Works. No extra charge.

I wouldn't pay you for that ! 25%DEET>>>not on my skin,ever.
Mosquito's find you by the CO2 you give off, you breath they will find you. If they are really bothersome I use a light/long sleeve shirt, pair of jeans (not shorts) keep sneakers and sox on and in extreme cases a net over my baseball cap, on of the percs of puttting my cigarettes down. |

Hey I am on the other side of the state and on some nights here they do the same. I fish in a tin boat with only a trolling motor, I use a citronella coil, I would not recomend that in a glass boat with a gas motor, it keeps things tolerable.
What I hate is , when fishing with my Friend Steve, they are all over me, and he is bug free! |

When I lived in New Orleans , several of the Bayou's Mosquito populations were controlled by CO2 Cannons. The would put out a large volume of CO2, then periodically a pilot light would fire up some released propane causing a huge fire ball, and a lot of dead mosquiotes,Pretty cool to see!
This method of control only works on certain kinds of mosquitoes. |

Dryer sheets...not joking.. tuck them into your clothing, usually in the neckline of your shirt... i don't know what it is, but it keeps them from biting.

Agree with Deep Woods Off for skeeters.
If you are stomping around in the brush wearing flea collars around your ankles will keep the ticks off. No kidding. Wear them outside your socks, though

Works awesome for removing bugs from the front of your hood and grill, side mirror, and windshield too. I use them every time and doesn't hurt the finish.

I see you mentioned skin so soft, how well does that actually work? A friend of mine is in the USMC, and said that actually worked better than any bug repellent he tried. And all of them used it. I also heard the dryer sheet trick. Man, where I live its alot of duck hunting swamp land and the skeeters will just about levitate your ***!

I have no other allergies, but DEET left welts, painful welts on me, and it is a known carcinogen, there has to be a safer alternative, Deep Woods is loaded with it and there is acess to 100% DEET, dont know if thats safe at all |
