Lowrance Elite-5 Sonar/GPS
I just got a new Lowrance Elite-5 for Fathers Day and am going to mount it this evening in time for tomorrow morning trip. I have already hooked it up to a battery and ran it in simulator mode and it looks really nice good and sharp great color..Anyone own one of these units any thoughts on it as there aren't many reviews because its so new to the market....

Let me know how you like it...My dad is looking at the elite 5x... He is old school and says "I dont need no stinkin gps"... his money... but this is the one he is really interested in... So keep me posted...

Well it was tough but I cut the hole for it yesterday! dang it took me about 3 hours to measure and measure then make a template....acutally work up the nerve to cut my dash out but the install went perfectely! Will put it on the water maybe tomorrow and will let you know
