Some Recently Added Forum Features!

To the loyal Members of BassFishin.Com:

I thought I would let you guys know about some recently added features to the forums that you may find useful and fun to use. We have made many updates and you will notice many new items, features and overall better usability with the forums. Below are two examples of some recently added features:

Inline Multi-Quote
The multi-quote feature allows members to tag multiple posts that they wish to respond to by clicking a small button on each post. Once the user clicks the reply button, each tagged post is quoted.

To increase usability, by default, only posts within the current thread are automatically quoted. If you wish to quote posts in other threads with multi-quote, you simply need to click a link on the reply page, and the text of those posts will be added without a reload.

Double-Click To Mark Forums Read
If you wish to mark a forum read, you can simply double-click its status icon on the index page and the change will be processed without a reload.

I will be adding short descriptions on many more of the new features recently added. I am sure many of you will uncover them as you browse around. Thanks again for your participation and support. Take care and good fishin'

Thanks Kevin, even the computer dummies(me) can use it even easier. Once again it shows why this is the BEST Bass Fishin forum on the net.

Ode to Change

Where have we come and who have we lost
the winds of change don't come without cost
I've watched the old site go from about 35 users
to close to a thousand of unverified losers
Don't get mad at that losers line just yet
I'll explain more before your goat that I'll get

While we had hundreds of members on bassfishin' forums that Kevin hosted
only about 10 percent of that number actually posted
Parts of the site you had to be a member to read
resulting in new membership at record rate speed
Post once and flee, a lot of them were
I even checked on the post counts, just to be sure.

This site won't have a wrapper made out of gold
nothing to merit claims that it's sold
It will have the core members, that comprised the website
that's how we know that it will be doing alright
Fifty-seven users in nearly a day
it appears that this site is well on it's way

Though we may miss the site known as the bassfishin' link
this is pretty comfy, as I'm sure we all think
Other fishing forums have closed, we'll play the hand dealt
Only Kevin can feel how he felt
He had his reasons, in the middle we were caught
but we'll be thankful for this site that we got
Don't pee where you play or crap where you eat
let's try to keep this site tidy and neat

But if you slip up and dirty your diaper
we'll just bag it up and send it to one of the basscatchers.
You'll see everyone from Reb to Lizards and Zook,
Knee-jerking people and those that hardly ever spoke,
You'll talk to socially sheltered people and those who are outspoken
Fighting and laughing and tons of plain jokin

People will continue to take people wrong
rewriting lyrics to the crybaby song
Some will want nothing but to come here and fight
We'll have morons and idiots and some that are quite bright
We'll have cartoonish avatars and some movies from youtube
We'll have veteran posters and the inevitable noobs

We'll have grammar correcters and those who are corrected
We'll have everything here that over there you expected
Change ain't so bad; it's a workable thing
Plenty of stuff to help ease the sting
I think we'll have fun, in fact, we'll have loads
I'll even continue with these despicable odes.
