Dangers of deet?
Anybody use this skeeter spray called Ultra-thon? Well we have renamed it as we think those womens underbritches would be very uncomfortable and now it is called "ultrathong". This $hit burns like crazy when you sweat . Anybody else had simular reactions? It works good against those 12 pound TX skeeters, but man does it feel like your wearing gasoline. Do you know of something better?

I very rarely wear bugspray. When I wear it, I go army surplus, little bottle, it's like 95% deet.

skin so soft works well.or stuff a cling free in your hat, tuck one in your collar, socks and pockets.skeeters don't like that stuff.

ADAM,
Yes, Bounce dryer sheets work great. Rub one on your face and arms and back of your neck, then tuck it in your hat brim or under the back of yor cap so it hangs down on your neck. Another trick is to go to a nursery and buy a citronella plant. Grows like crazy and keeps skeeters off your patio. When you are going to fish, break off a sprig of citronella bush and rub it on exposed areas, then tuck the sprig in your hatband. JackL

Lizards Edit: Just reread this, and Tom uses Cling Free, so what is it in these sheets that makes the skeeters stay away. I guess I'm looking for the Active Ingredient against the little pests.

Im off topic but parts does suck- I work for Nissan. Youll appreciate this, I dont get parts until 2 days after I order them from Dallas. And like you said everybody wants it now. VERY stressful, therefore I fish and drink-alot. Used to turn wrench too-lets not get that started. Good to meet you man.

Lizards, I would think its just the smell of the dryer sheets that repel bugs. Theres nothing in them that I know of that would be considered a bug repellant on its own. They have perfume(spring fresh, ocean breeze, etc...), a couple chemicals used for softening fabric, and thats about it.
