"New" (old) outboard for my Tracker...
Some of you may remember that I wrecked my boat over the summer, causing signifigant damage to the trailer, tm and outboard. Well, I finally got around to doing something about an outboard, I went ebay and bought a 1965 Evinrude 4 cylinder 60 horse outboard for 150 bucks. Maybe it will work, maybe it wont; but its worth the try.
Anyways, here it is just hangin on the transom. Its not bolted on yet. I have a few questions that if anyone wants to take a stab at, feel free. I don't have a ton of experience with either motors this large or this old. On the bolt through mount, should 4 bolts be enough? Is it normal to have the motor attached by these two brackets that attatch directly to the transom, with bolts up at the top that the motor hangs and pivots (tilts) off of?
