Default Bass Pro Shops:KVD Doubletake Buzzbait

I know many of you have seen this item, but anyone ever use it? It is KVD's version of the buzzbait, has two buzzers, comes w/ a trailer hook, etc. It's called the "Doubletake Buzzbait". Any info will be highly appreciated b/c I am looking into investing in one.

Thx -LL-

Hart has the same type of buzzbait, it makes it possible to retrieve it much slower than you'd have to with one buzzer.

Well yes, common sense says that, but have you ever used one?

I actually bought one for my wife, who saw KVD using it when we were watching TV. She thought it would be fun to fish a buzz bait. She has used it once, and caught 3 on it, so it worked for her. I am going to use it this Sunday evening myself.

I have'nt used that exact double buzzbait, but I haved used the Persuader DoubleBuzz. It has two 1/8oz. buzz blades that spin in opposite directions. I took them off and replaced them with two 1/8oz. plastic quad blades. I like the plastic because they are a little lighter than metal blades. But I didn't realize the quads spun the same way until I took it out on the water and on the retrieve it drifted right, even against the wind! I left them on because I use a really slow retrive and the quad blades help with that even more then the two single blades. I just hold my rod to the left a little to keep it running somewhat straight.

This is without a doubt the best slow moving buzzbait I have ever found, it's about the only kind I use. Notice the "STYROFOAM" end on the buzzer's. It's helps even more with it's bouyancy. As for KVD's one, I have never used it. However I've used custom made twin buzzers with built in trailer hooks. They were way to heavy. You needed a high speed reel, and they got of tune very easily. Now I was used to the wonderful High Rider as linked above. So I was really disappointed in them. I don't use a trailer hook anyways on buzzbaits, and with this model you can slow roll it, or fly it, whatever suits your preference.
