Default Had one of them great days!

Hit the water this morning about 6:15, fished until about 4:30 and between me and my buddy we boated 34 LM and one smallie. No wind, foggy until noon, and they hit just about anything we threw. Nothing big-maybe a pound and a half was the biggest-but it was great just to be out on the water. It's the second time my buddy has outfished me in my own boat -I only got 14-but we weren't competing-just having a lot of fun. Just what the Dr.ordered! My thumb looks like I used sandpaper on it from lipping all the fish-I LOVE it when that happens!

Nope-didn't throw a spinnerbait all day-it didn't "feel" right-you know what I mean. Most came on a deep diving craw colored Excalibur crankbait, a pearl/black back Strike King series 1 shallow runner, and a wacky rigged Tiki. Also got one on a spook and several on a watermelon seed Super Hog. I'm beginning to get the lake figured out a little but lately it has been a case of right place right time

betursweetbass, The name is Canyon Lake just west of New Braunfels. It is a nortoriously tough lake to fish with a lot of lake lice and skiers-been fishing it lately since it is close and have been real surprised at the numbers we are catching. Biggest I've seen caught there is a 4-11 my buddy caught a couple weeks ago.
