Last year I bought 4 of the Rago mice. I think they changed the name and call them rats now. They sent me some of the jointed ones and some of the solid ones.
I haven't used the solid ones yet. The jointed ones are good but they are a very heavy bait. I'm pretty sure they were 2 or 2.5 ounces. For me, they produced only when I got the boat right up to the weeds (seemed to do better in the weeds that are growing a couple of feet tall out of the water, but rooted in about 1 foot of water). Then I'd cast as far as I could down the shore/weed line and bring in the bait. I think the fish hang out in the weeds and ambush anything that swims by. I forgot about them and haven't tried them yet this year. |

naw, just mice. Hook em however you decide, float em out on a log or suming to the middle of the lake or wherever you want and pull it off the log. Im sure it would work great. In fact at one of the lakes I go to there is a shortage of ducklings because of the big bass this year pickin em off.

Rats are good to use in farm ponds..... never tried them in an impoundment, river or natural lake......I usually cast them past the cover on to a shallow bank and drag them through the cover, let them sit twitching occasionally few a few seconds then reel and repeat. Not always a hot bait and I have never had a bass bust on one they usually suck it down, so pay attention. Hope this helps........
