Default Getting ready 101

Normally around New Years I take stock of my tackle and try to dump the old and replace/update to new reels rods and tackle. So I have gone off the deep end this year. I dumped eight reels and four rods. Added six rods and purchased two more Wave spin reels. This weekend I got four new Daiwa Regal reels for 19.95 each from a tackle shop going out of bus.

I found the four rods, all Berkly hunter series for 10 bucks each.. different sizes but all in great shape.

So now I need to dump some soft baits and a few boating items at the next flea market.

I really looking forward to being able to get in and out of the boat and walking normal again.. Dr says maybe another week and I can start lifting a little more.. Nice weather would be great too.

Now is the winter of our discontent
Made glorious summer by this sun of a fisherman;
And all the clouds that snowed upon our house
In the deep bosom of the ocean buried cold steel.
Now are our brows bound with victorious memories;
Our bruised arms awaiting rath of the cold steel;
Our stern charges forward in our dreams,
Our daily dreadful marches to summer found.....

It seems like at that price you can sale your other fishing stuff and come out with new stuff and maybe a little extra cash. LOL

I can never seem to make some cash with all the deals at these flea markets. But I always find some deals.. and never get to deep into the pockets..

I bought 60 crappie poles for the show season and sold them all at the first show. So if add the profit from that I might even be ahead..

But I have few shows to go..

Would love to find some topwaters like I did the last two years.
