question about direction???
This probably is a dumb question, but I'm still a little confused and cannot find the answer anywhere. I recently installed a transom mount tranducer on my motorguide trolling motor. I'm confused as to which direction I need to face the transducer. When the trolling motor is in the water does the transducer need to face the front or to the rear? As I have it right now the flat end is facing the rear which is facing the prop and skeg. (to me it seems the flat end should be facing the front end, so you can see in front of you). Thanks for any help and tips!

It doesn't matter. The transducer signal is a cone so no matter where it points you still get a circular signal.
