I've always found that the 2500 series reels are a good compromise between weight and capacity.

Thanks for the help guys! Really helps. And do you think that 6/110 would be to little even if I did use 8lb?
And btw, Charlie, I just use spinning reels for finesse, I have casting reels for all that other stuff!

Same here, although I've read where the pros use the bigger reels for the reasons already mentioned.
