no structure fishing
there is a pond that i go to regulary, has great structure and everything,
i went to it today and the company that is next to it had all the structure taken out for the lake would look nicer (pissed me off) what would you recommend for just water and no structure (i was thinking a crankbait) any suggestions would be great |

do you mean vegetation? structure is everything, like stumps, drop-offs, humps in the bottom of a pond/lake, rocks, anything a fish can hold by. i see it hard for the company to take a hump on the bottom of the pond out. they most likely only took whatever was visible out, and im guessing there is alot of under water vegetation still out aways that is not visible. i think a good idea might be to try search baits out in deeper water. something like crank baits and spinnerbaits. just fan the pond, you might come back with grass on your hooks, then you can take a soft plastic or something and fish that grass. there has to be some kind of vegetation still in the pond, or the oxygen levels will decline. look for baitfish in the mournings, or look for bass hitting the top. then fish thiose areas. good luck.
