Default Need Rod Suggestions to cast big lures FAR

I'm looking for suggestions on a spinning rod to toss 1/2oz - 2 oz lures as far as possible. Preferably 7 or 7 1/2 ft. I'd like something with a good warrenty as well, what would yall suggest.

I'd have to go with a spinning rod, medium power with a moderate/medium action. I believe the flex will give you more distance when timed correctly, and spinning is less drag on the line, from the spool. Brand I would be more worried about finding one with those specifics, and then compare the warranties. I of course like St Croix, G-Loomis, and have been impressed with the Rogue rods more and more as I use them. But lots of companies, make good rods. But as zooker said what it's for? I might change that choice if it's for a spinnerbait of some sort due to the type of hits you can get on them.

lets just say its for DISTANCE. It will be used for everything from big topwaters, big cranks, big SHINERS, big etc. I know why yall are asking what its going to be used for, but with the clear waters I fish, getting the lure out there is more important to me than the action/feel of the rod. I'll be mating it with an Alvey Sidecast Reel (HUGE spool designed for LONG casts), along with some 20-40 lbs power pro braid. Thanks for the suggestions.

Would prefer one piece, I know my options are limited on 2 piece 7.5 foot rods.

Man you are lucky............... I have always wanted to go fishing for those hard fighting Peakocks. One day I will get to go for them I know. Even if I have to make the drive to south Florida myself. I have seen a show they did on peakocks in Florida. I think they were fishing in kindof a ditch on the side of the road catching 7 or 8 pound Peakocks.................

those ditches you refer to, are drainage canals and are EVERYWHERE in south florida. No need for directions to the canals, just come to south florida and you'll find them.
